Troublesome teething

Just when we allowed ourselves to get excited at the prospect of sleep teething kicked in. Amelie went from sleeping almost through the night to waking up more times then I care to remember! It was sooo horrible as she was crying in her sleep and it was a different cry to usual, one of being in pain.

Amelie was gnawing on everything especially the amazing Sophie Giraffe. However after Sophie being thrown on the floor and picked up, antibaced and handed back a million times I knew there had to be an alternative....

I discovered teething necklaces. All hail the very cool Bo and Bel, who knew teething necklaces could be so stylish, love the colours and the contemporary designs. Amelie spotted the new accessory immediately and was very happy to chew on the colourful rubbery beads, it also doubles up as a fun toy to wave about. Although note to self wearing light colours may not be the best choice as I was left with a very attractive dribble patch once Amelie was finished chewing! Although I would rather the dribble any day to replace the woes of teething.

I think teething necklaces should be added to the essential list when you are have a little one. I have had plenty of compliments and people are shocked when I reveal its not just a regular piece of jewellery. It would have been on my wishlist for Mother's Day so with it only being a week away, get ordering and save all those mums and babies from troublesome teeth!

After a very sleepy difficult couple of weeks Amelie finally had a reward for all the pain, a first tooth! Within a week she had a second to join the party. Now we just have to get through the next sixteen...
